Comic Strip of the Week - Happy Valentine's Day!


In honor of Saint Valentine's Day, I am posting this week's comic strip a day early! In 1946, Scarlet found herself in a scenario not unlike one featured in the TV series Moonlighting many years later. Scarlet’s detective colleague Sandy confesses his love for her while she is engaged to another man. She returns the favor by revealing her love for him during his wedding. This short-lived comic series from Harvey published in 1950 reprints one of Scarlet's most popular adventures in which she finds herself in prehistoric times. Despite thousands of years of evolution, Scarlet proves she can still go primal on a rival!

Comic Strip of the Week - Super Fumble

Last year, in honor of the upcoming Super Bowl, I posted a couple of panels from a 1940 story arc in which Scarlet tries to even the odds in a football match for charity. Here's another from the series. Invisible or not, she should have worn a helmet!
